Osky is going to South East Conference, not SCC.now Oksy is trying to get back in, but I doubt the other league members vote for it to happen, adding a 4 A school to a mostly 2A conference would not work out well for the existing league members.

Here is an article explaining why he went back to Moravia, his grandson broadcast the game on the radio, I thought he was a player, 46 years coaching baseball.Huisman left Moravia to go back to Centerville to coach his grandson. He has since graduated. Centerville was ready to move on from Huisman again opening the door for his return to Moravia.
This is probably the best team they have had recently. The one loss to saydel I understand but I was surprised they dropped both to Newman catholic when the played. The Roland Story baseball program has really improved from the 1980s when I played. They are pretty consistently good now. We were very average.
Osky is going to the Southeast conference in 2028.Those schools left the league in 95/96, and the conference was reformed with Centerville, DC, Albia, Eddyville, Clark and Chariton. Grinnell, Pella and Knoxville left to join the Little Hawkeye Conference. It's after this point that Centerville and Davis Co. won their baseball championships., PCM was also a member of the conference for a few years before leaving. The last school added was Cardinal of Eldon three years ago or so, now Oksy is trying to get back in, but I doubt the other league members vote for it to happen, adding a 4 A school to a mostly 2A conference would not work out well for the existing league members.
Both Eddyville and Clark, along with PCM were part of the conference when my kids went through school in the early to mid 2000s years, both Eddyville and Clark are still in the conference today. You have to remember that 96/97 was 30 years ago, a lifetime ago for many, and 1983 was over 50 years ago. Hell at one time I believe WDM Valley was in the conference, things change, for the past 25 years or so the conference overall has been very stable.Osky is going to the Southeast conference in 2028.

Clarke and Winterset left the SCC in 1983 to form the Little Hawkeye Conference, and Grinnell (left the CIC) and Osky (left the SE 7) were added to replace them.
In 96-97, Clarke rejoined the South Central Conference; Knoxville, Pella, and Grinnell left the SCC for the Little Hawkeye, and Osky returned to the SE 7. The SCC added Eddyville-Blakesburg, bringing the total to six teams. In 1998, PCM joined the conference and was there until 2006. In 2014, Knoxville re-joined the conference, and in 2022, Cardinal joined the SCC.
I competed in the SCC and can tell you that Eddyville-Blakesburg and Clarke were not part of the SCC when I was competing.
only at the event horizon of a black hole1983 was over 50 years ago.
When Urbandale didn't join you could see that the conference was screwed. Like you said, the 3 big schools should just bite the bullet after DCG leaves, cause they will.As stated in some previous posts in this thread...the LHC is on life support. If DCG goes to the CIML, it's flatlined. Norwalk, Indianola and Ames might as well bite the bullet and head to the CIML too. Congrats to Ames on being a member of 3 different conferences in a 5 year span.
Ummm.... 1983 was not 50 years ago.. Try 43.. Sorry I'm defensive, but being born in 1980 is making me that way. Both Eddyville and Clark, along with PCM were part of the conference when my kids went through school in the early to mid 2000s years, both Eddyville and Clark are still in the conference today. I know in basketball Newton would only play the big schools 1 time per season, citing they are at a disadvantage compared to Norwalk, Indianola, and DCG.
Newton wants out too. Guess Pella talked them into joining then leaves.
