Hate for lolo?

In Iowa anyways it seems she gets a fair bit of media coverage for never having really done anything of consequence as far as I can tell. I don't know if it's like that in the rest of the country or not.

she brings most of it upon herself with her twitter account where she openly complains about being single and having problems finding dates, pretty much asking guys to beg her on twitter to go out with her

Wow...I never thought I would see the day when a Deadspin article essentially pwns the New York Times.
I thought the NYT article did have some legitimate substance to it, but there was a very noticeable and completely unneccessary mean-spirited tone to it.
And lost her virginity in the back of her much older high school boyfriends Impala SS - which he still drives.
Why would you say that? Has Shawn had sex? Some people think Lolo has used her virginity as a way to stay relevant. Which if true then she's a ***** in other ways. I think that's what the writer seems to have a beef about.
She won three NCAA titles and is 11 All-American while at LSU.

Bottom line is that if she was ugly she would still be at the Olympics because she earned her way there by her performance on the track. Sure she has fallen on her face in the Olympics, but she is not the first to do that, just the best looking woman to do so. I also like how someone in the media is saying that the media is paying more attention to her than it should.
For what it is worth the author of the article is a man. I figured it was a woman also just from the tone, so I looked him up.
Is that an honor? I do think it's funny how people side up on such topics. I think Lolo is hot and talented. But like many athletes - the more she let's me in on her personality the less I like her.

I actually enjoy following Lolo on twitter, only a couple of times have I seen comments about dating, being single, etc. and she uses quite a bit of self-depreciating humor on there. She's human, not a programmed robot, and frankly, doesn't really care what you think about her vs. being a kiss everybody's backside.
She earned her spot on the team this year, wasn't handed it, and is coming off a surgery with a long hill to climb to make it to where she is today.
