Hamilton Considering Cal, LSU, Virginia

I'm sorry for that...I'll try to change who I am.

Didn't say it was a bad thing. I'm just pretty sure half of the people on here know your affiliation with McDermott. It seems every time I call you out about your source of info I get at least 3 people who PM me to tell me your relationship to him.

It is time for people to quit shooting the messenger. The people that provide inside information are not the source of your frustration, so why do you take it out on them?

What's so frustrating is that at this point, the messenger has turned into Kevin Bacon in Animal House, standing in the middle of the riot screaming "ALL IS WELL!" at the top of their lungs

Because Greg McDermott does not post here...

Whoa, whoa, whoa.....I know I haven't been around in a while, but I thought the reason players left here or came here and the reason coaches did bad was becasue of the stuff posted here? Did that change?

Some insiders are reaping what they have sewn here, but CIMD is not one of them. He is respectful in his opinions. Lay off.

I think it was probably obvious from the outset that this wasn't about being homesick. Like many others have pointed out, you don't usually lose someone for that after they have been around a couple years. You also don't typically lose a returning starter.

I think it is quite clear that it is an issue with the relationship between the player and the staff. Given our turnover in the last few years, I don't think that is a stretch at all. I think when you see things like the Dendy suspension that lasted like 20 minutes, or the Colvin suspension that was lifted cause Brackins said it should be, that other players may get the impression that the staff isn't totally in charge, or that there isn't equity in the treatment of everyone. That could drive a person to want to leave.

You just don't leave Iowa for Virginia or LSU when you are homesick for Utah.

Just to try to get back on track of the subject - before throwing Hamilton or the coaches under the bus, remember that when Hamilton would have been being recruited in 2008, Tony Bennett was the coach at Washington St., Trent Johnson was at Stanford and Montgomery was in Stanford's athletic dept and then took the Cal job in the spring of 2008 - all jobs closer to his home. This may be as simple as these coaches had previously expressed some interest to Justin, his coach or his family based on the improvements he had made during his senior season and in AAU. When he re-opened his recruitment, these coaches with the contacts already in place have seen that Hamilton has progressed into a player that can play in major conference and initiated the contacts that way. Typically when someone is making a change or is "homesick", they also want the safety net of familiarity. If he, his coaches, or his family, felt good connections to these coaches back in 08 but these schools didn't offer because he was considered a "project", I can't fault him or them for connecting now. Not everything is a conspiracy.

And McDermott losing players every ******* year isn't a coincidence either.

So they recruited him...........now?

On a lighter note, if you go to Virginia and Louisana and hang a hard right you'll hit Utah eventually.

A lie is a lie.

Oh shut up! Ever think maybe some people get sick of losing all the time?Ham a lottery pick? Yea.
How about the concept that if we didn't have these guys quitting and transferring and turning pro we might be winning more games?

This is what you said:

You said there is a distinct possibility of Hamilton coming back.

From distinct - Dictionary definition and pronunciation - Yahoo! Education...

Here are some definitions for distinct:

Please notice #4. From the above blog, it would appear the possibility of Hamilton playing for ISU next near is certainly not "distinct". On the level of "distinctness", I would put it on par with the possibility of me, at 44 years of age, coming back and playing for ISU...

In any case, if his issues are dealt with, ISU could certainly use him back on the team...
In all fairness to Cimd, he did later clafify that to mean a 505/50 shot at Ham coming back
