Nice to see he is starting to get some notice.

Check out this article from USA TODAY:

Ohio State's Justin Fields now second behind Alabama's Mac Jones in Heisman Watch

If we win out and one of the other candidates lose, maybe he can get an invite? That would be amazing and a nice recruiting tool.

Lists I've seen are all quarterbacks: Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Clemson.

As stated above, I also see this as a QB award now. Darren Sproles wasn't invited to the ceremony but Michael Bishop and Collin Klien were.

The Heisman had begun to be a joke of an award years before this, but what cemented it for me was Christian McCaffrey not winning it over Derrick Henry. Henry had an amazing season no doubt (28 TDs is crazy), but McCaffery was a once in a generation player when you actually go back and watch what he did his sophomore season at Stanford.

- 2,019 rushing yds (6.0 yds per carry) while Henry had 2,219 at a 5.6 yds per carry
- 645 receiving yds while Henry had 91 yds
- 1,070 kick return yds (almost a 30-yd return avg)
- 130 punt return yds (Just shy of a 9-yd return avg)
- Had both a kick and punt return for a TD that year as well
- Broke the single-season all-purpose yards record held by none other than Barry Sanders. Anytime you break a record like that held by Barry Sanders you win. Sorry.

As far as most outstanding, most valuable, most whatever you want to call it, that was Christian McCaffrey in 2015.

Troy Davis was the FIRST running back to have over 2,000 yards and not win the Heisman (1995). Troy Davis was the SECOND running back to have over 2,000 yards and not win the Heisman (1996). Soooo what is Hall's chance now. It has become a Quarterback only award.

Hall isn't going to win the Heisman, but if we keep winning and he keeps putting up these numbers, there's a good chance he gets an invite. Especially if we're in the Big 12 Championship and he shows out.

One hell of a lot better than Troy’s, not playing on a two win team.
