I’ll always root for Hunter! Feel bad for the kid. Hope he makes it! I’ll never understand the hatred for him.
We went 4-8 the one year he started due in part to his wildly inconsistent play. He had a real penchant for red zone interceptions that year. Not to mention the gambling thing which was a terrible look for this university and program.

However, in that season, there were times he looked like a legit NFL player, going through a progression, and making accurate high leverage throws. So you never know…

I wasn't a huge fan of his at ISU and think we were in a far better situation with Rocco. But I am pulling for the kid. I hope he can stick it out for a while, stack up some cash, and have some stories to tell.
I could easily see him making the development squad this year. What he does from there is up to him.

In his first year starting as a Junior, Sage Rosenfels went 4-7.

Wish Dekkers the best.

I just don't think he was a very good QB. He can make any throw you want out of an NFL QB, but has horrible awareness / pocket presence and can't process and decide accurately and quickly. Also one of the worst running and scrambling QB's I've seen at ISU.

OK. Well, when and if he becomes the Saint's starter, I will expect you to be more positive. I'm not saying he will.
