Georges vs Royce

Royce was a 33% 3 point shooter. Ive seen worse.

Im not sure there is a good answer here. I miss how dominating Royce was on the boards. Both are outstanding passers. Royce would dunk in your face. George will make tons of crazy shots.

I forgot how good Royce was.

That opening coast-to-coast drive & dunk against the defending National Champions UCONN was so excellent! I'll never forget watching that live!

I love Georges but he's not even in Royce's category. Georges is a good passer/ball hander for a PF, White was great at both for any position. Clearly, Niang has had a better career but as a player I'm not sure there was a more talented guy ever at ISU than Royce White. If I had to recruit a kid for a 4 year career, I'm taking Niang all day but for one season, one game, no question its Royce.

When I saw the thread title, this is the first thing that popped into my head and the reason I give Royce the nod without question. Georges does a lot of great things, but he also has a number of weaknesses. Royce would get the better of anyone who got in front of him. He might dunk it, he might roll it under your nose, or he might hit a streaking guy that no one else saw...but he was going to make you pay somehow. He also had a knack for the rebound, and immediately knew what to do with it.

The Georges highlight reels give me goosebumps because I remember the games....the Royce highlight reels leave me shaking my head in disbelief.

I'd give the nod to Jamaal Tinsley.

That said... Royce was a freak too.

Jamaal Tinsley was a turnover machine and continued that in his game in the NBA. The team won in spite of his careless handling of the basketball.

Royce was just getting back to top form when the season ended. Would have been a top 5 pick if not for being open about having anxiety. Go watch royce white vs kentucky, and then tell me georges. Georges is a better shooter tho. Would love to see them play together.

Georges is by far my favorite Cyclone ever. I love the guy. How he's clutch at the end of games, his playing style, his trash talking, his love of having fun. Just no question, my favorite Cyclone baller ever.

But if I have one game to win, I'm picking Royce.

Niang if I'm building a team, Royce if I'm playing one big game. I'd take Fizer over both of them though.
