Had a convo going with a co worker. Who would you rather have on your team. Georges or Royce?

Depends on the makeup of the rest of the team and the length of time. If I've got a marginal supporting cast and am only looking at a one-year timeframe, I'd want Royce. If I've got a great supporting cast or am looking at things as a full career, give me Georges. With that said, I think we are lucky that each guy game at his proper time in our growth of the program. Regardless, love them both.

Royce if you're only looking at the basketball games themselves.

Georges. Although on this upcoming team I would consider Royce because I think they could really use his interior muscle.

Pretty much this. Honestly though I might even lean towards Georges just for his antics and leadership. Guy is a pure cyclone and I think he will have one of the best senior seasons we will ever see.

Good question. In my opinion some of the stats probably cancel out so they are probably more even than people think. I'd cringe at the end of same games if it came down to free throws and Royce at the line, so I'd go with Georges.

Georges, he can create from anywhere (3's, driving, in the paint, passing, free throws). Although I loved what Royce brought I think Georges is more diverse.

I would love to have both. That would be a match up nightmare all over the place. Can you imagine having two PFs that can play as PGs?

Over the course of a season/career - Georges
Against specific opponents - Royce
On the free throw line - Georges

Both can take over a game so there's not a wrong answer IMO

Love ya Royce, but Georges. Royce couldn't hit a three to save his life. His floor stretching is underappreciated.

He averaged 13, 9 and 5 while shooting 53% from the floor plus led us in steals and blocks. He didn't really need to hit a 3

Royce was a 33% 3 point shooter. Ive seen worse.

Im not sure there is a good answer here. I miss how dominating Royce was on the boards. Both are outstanding passers. Royce would dunk in your face. George will make tons of crazy shots.

I forgot how good Royce was.

Royce for 1 game (have to win)............Niang for a 4 year career. He is solid, great kid. Royce would have been a train wreck more than a year.

On 4 of 12 for the year. Yeah, he could hit them if he took them, but that's not the point. He didn't. Georges certainly has his weaknesses, too. You're basically choosing between rebounding and 3pt/FT ability.

Maybe I overstated it; Royce is one of my favorites ever to wear the uniform.
