Funny responses to misspellings

I know the difference between their, there and they're but every now and again I'll use the wrong one, as does everybody else. I do, however, proofread almost every time I post because I would rather not have a minuscule mistake potentially derail a thread.

that's the point. I deserve to be made fun of for it. I'm not whining about it taking the fun out of posting.
No you don't. That's my point. You accidentally leave out a "o" and you should be made fun of? That's for losers who don't have a life and want to critique everyone else.

Sorry, but if you can't take 2 seconds to proofread what you write, I'm going to make fun of you. I would expect the same in return.

Guess that makes me a loser.

Or they're just ridiculing people for coming across as morons.

Grammar and punctuation are a direct indicator of intelligence.

+1 to you for spelling loser correctly. "Looser" instead of "loser" has got to be one of the most misspelled words on the interwebs.

Typing in a fast reply and accidentally leaving out something has nothing to do with intelligence. People who sit and wait for someone else to make a mistake so they can pounce on it are pathetic.

Articulation and coherence are parts of intelligence.

It's our patriotic duty to defend the english language. Noah Webster would agree.

What does that have to do with someone that accidentally leaves out an "o". Or a cyclone fan who's 12 and posting for the first time. He makes a mistake and you jump on him. Does that make you feel better about yourself?

Articulation would involve being clearly, effectively, and easily understood. A quick proofread generally catches such mistakes (I caught myself this morning typing "is" instead of "in").

If you really take the interwebz so seriously I almost feel bad for you. Almost. You're like the lady a few offices down: You can't take ANY amount of ribbing and automatically assume people are trying to offend you.

I think generally when I see people getting made of for grammar it is either
a) pointing out irony or
b) shredding their already-faltering credibility.

I wouldn't say it's always somebody "jumping" on the person.. Most of the time it's just making fun in a friendly manner. I don't know about you, but when my friends mess something up, I generally give them some ***** for it.

So we're just supposed to let the morons go and pollute our Internet? I'm sorry, but THAT'S the loser attitude. Didn't your mother ever tell you that just because everybody's doing it doesn't make it right? We're on a COLLEGE sports fan website. You'd think we'd want to represent, instead of posting any old crap and not proofreading.

With all the stuff that gets posted on this site, do you really think getting made fun of for a typo is the worst part for a 12 year old?!

Don't get me wrong I love it all, but it's not exactly always pg-13
