He wasn't crying about it. He was pointing out that most major news outlets use twitter to report news. Some people need to get with the times. When something on twitter is posted on a news sources twitter. You'll find that same stuff on their website.

I think the transfers helped play a role in getting these guys here. They definitely are selling cardinal and gold right now.

Nice strawman. You could make the same case about print journalism as well, if all you read was Super Market tabloids and Weekly World News.

Did you even read the post you were quoting? He specifically mentioned twitter being legitimate provided you follow legitimate sources.

Dude get over yourself about Twitter!! We understand you don't like it. But it IS a legitament news source. There's more than just celebrities on twitter. Most of these groups such as NYC Hoops will say they someone may commit or be close to committing but usually they say "per sources" or "our sources say" then they confirm it is accurate or not in another tweet. But you don't have to keep bashing twitter when it's pretty obvious you don't use it. (or at least not the right way if you don't like it)

IMO, there is a tradeoff when using Twitter...

You sacrifice hearing potential "rumors" for speed of news broken (when actual news is broken). As long as you are aware of this, everything is fine. Notice most early posts in this thread contained something to the effect of "I hope this is true." These are people who understand the medium, and temper their expectations.

Question: Is Jay Bilas on Twitter less credible than Jay Bilas on TV?

some jagoff Tweeted some very important news that turned out to be bogus, and got thousands of sports fans all lathered up over nothing. (yet)

I guess if that kind of news (bogus info) keeps you on the edge of your seat daily--have at it.
