Forget twitter. If you want trusted info., you need to get put on the mailing list of the people you want info from. Then they can mail you the info and in 2-7 days, you will have it. The USPS will be the downfall of twitter:jimlad:

Chris, put me on your mailing list!

Wait, maybe he won't get this (since the thread is now lame). Maybe I should tweet him...

Meh, I am not on Twitter and dont plan on being, I am 29. I see its value but I just dont care enough about it to get involved. But, I also see how people love to use it as a social tool.

I don't even use it as that. I only have one friend on twitter. I just follow people who give out info I am interested in. I used to think it was a joke but there are a lot of good sources out there. For me, it's nice because most of the year I'm not around any sort of news source except for early morning and night. I suppose that would be good enough but it's nice not having to sift through news stories I don't really care about to find the ones I do.

I dont see anything wrong with the way you use it either. People obviously love it for a reason. Different strokes for different folks.

Like it or not social media is redefining the way people receive news/information. Get over it.

indeed. I love when a 19-yr old chick is texting while driving on the highway going 70, or in traffic moving 10 mph after the light turns green while in town, while her head is down checking her Tweets....

watch out for that water buffalo. oops...ran over a curb...

gotta check those tweets. damn the street signs and markers and signals.
she ain't endangering any lives.

social media is redefining what 'not to do'....like never learning how to communicate, interfacing directly with people.......creating a huge generation of social media zombies so to speak.......hiding behind technology

and twitter may suck or NOT

but seriously is there video of this prospect?

It doesn't matter if the information was bogus. It came from TWITTER.

I have made several good business leads and acquaintances through proper use of twitter. There are some that are active on twitter for just social junk, but a lot of business people use it to network and share info. Its like anything, its not the tool, its how its used.

  • used to be we ******* about people talking on cell phones while driving.
  • somewhere in there we ******* about people using GPSs
  • before that it was women putting on make-up while driving(still happens, still hasn't been made illegal)
  • somewhere in there we were ******** about people who eat while they drive
  • along those lines people ***** about people who read while they drive, or looked at a map while they drive
  • and we still ***** about old people who can't see and drive
  • hell, i remember my grandparents ******** that radios shouldn't be in cars cause that was too distracting

yeah, social media is the downfall of society and driving habits. Good thing Google is testing out smart cars. Of course, there will always be something for someone to ***** about other people's driving

Can we please get off Twitter and stick to the subject of this thread. Awesome get if true.

This thread needs to be closed. It has 1% to do with the original topic. I check it when there are new posts and they are all worthless.
