Fran vs Media

Tbh Frans teams were actually good offensively and always scary. BM had luck on his side this year with stirtz. That guy was their team. Good luck without him.
Before the season you would have been laughing if someone told you Stirtz would have been as good as he was. Im guessing he'll figure out how to win games again.

None. That doesn't mean I didn't regard women's bball as a "real" sport. It's absolutely a real sport. Hell my daughter was in competition cheer and after seeing what that entailed I realized that's a real sport. Unless you disagree and agree with @CyCity that since it's played by females it's not a real sport.
Hey you dickhead …. The almighty cc got beat again tonight…. So I heard !

Kirk Ferentz has averaged 7.4 wins per year.
Minus his games with FCS he has averaged 7.14 wins per year FBS.
minus Maryland Rutgers Illinois and Minnesota, 4.8 wins per year.
And that doesn’t count include all the non P4 non conference games.
He also only averaged .5 wins per year against Gene Chizik. Pretty embarrassing if you ask me

Just ignore the .800+ winning percentage and 4 national titles he won before Stirtz ever showed up.

It's amazing to me that Josh Schertz is pretty revered on this board yet he didn't have anywhere near the success McCollum had in D2 and hasn't in DI. I hate Iowa too but we've got to live in reality somewhere.

It's going to be a blast if both programs are good. Give me Kentucky-Louisville or Kansas-Missouri type intensity in the non-con every year!

Nah. He had lots of very good chances to prove himself in March and failed. Was time to move on. Obviously BM knows how to win in March. Plus we finally play defense.
"We" hum?
...You play on the wing Gonzo? :)

Trevor Hudgins is probably the best player he's ever coached.

So would you say Matt Campbell's wins were in a watered down big 12? I mean Dan McCarney coached in a way tougher league than MC ever did.
TX and OU were in the league the majority of Campbell's time here, so I don't agree.

Yes -even a Big 12 without TX and OU has plenty of better teams than what used to lie in the Big Ten West. Example:
Iowa State, TCU, Baylor, Kansas State > > (better than) Minnesota, Purdue, Nebraska, Northwestern, Illinois and Wisconsin lately

I’m dating myself, but back in the early 80’s what is now KGAN had a clever new sports guy. Kind of funny. Maybe a bit like Murphy. Anyway, back then sports guys would give commentary/opinion pieces once a month or so at the end of their sportscast.

Apparently being new, he wasn’t aware and was critical of Hayden. Maybe running up the score on someone. Subsequent to say, I believe they cold shouldered him and he was out shortly after taking the gig. That was right when Iowa had the power and Hayden was afraid to flex it.
Howard James. Iowa was killing Indiana and called timeout with 10 seconds left and scored on a touchdown pass to end the game. Fry said he wanted to give the NFL a look at his third string QB. I looked it up, my memory was mostly correct. Iowa up 42-3 with 7 seconds to go.

That’s what I thought.

who is saying Schertz is revered on here regularly besides you? some think he's a good coach, sure...you for sure are the biggest fan on here. Would love to know who has said he's revered.
