1 foul per 8 minutes. Thats the NBA and college. If they up the time in a half (they won’t), then give them more fouls.

I just hope the day is coming soon when they move to quarters and handle the bonus/fouls per period like HS and women’s basketball.

Just curious why you would prefer the qtrs and 5 fouls/qtr? I watch quite a bit of both and I kind of prefer the current men's set up. But I have no reasoning other than personal preference. I think both ways are ok.

It should speed up the game. The fouls reset after each quarter so a team won’t be in the double bonus for the entire second half potentially. It also eliminates the 1-1, which sometimes benefits the fouling team, and a foul should never benefit the fouling team. As far as quarters, it just makes sense. Every other basketball entity does quarters and if you switched the bonus situation, that allows the fouls to reset.

I also like the idea of advancement on timeouts in the last 1 or 2 minutes of the game. Makes end of game management more intriguing.
