So I missed the game today bc my kiddo’s birthday party, but whenever I would glance at the game tracker it seemed like someone was shooting foul shots. 30 free throws? A number of techs too? What happened…was this game extra chippy?

They didn't call enough in the first half and probably called too many in the second half... So a typical big 12 game

Under officiated then over officiated. Too many technicals called. Odd game and this crew deserves the grief they got and will get.

And thisis coming from a guy that refuses to ever talk about officiating during/after a game.

We were getting the bad end in the first half, Cincy had the bad end in the 2nd half. They just were not a good crew, though the techs were probably deserved. Gilbert barked at the lead official after getting hacked and a no call, Jackson and their big guy got offsetting techs after jawing at each other (that one seemed soft but it depends on what was said), their coach got one after he exploded on the refs, and the final one their player slammed the scorers table which is usually automatic.

I thought Cincinnati got away with a lot of contact on the perimeter in the first half. Gilbert dropped a "that was a f****ing foul" (it was) and got T'd up. Then the refs started calling everything, the Cincinnati coach got pissed, and the rest is history.

I didn't think it looked like him but after looking at an old picture of him I could see it. He had his super bowl ring on and went nuts whenever a call went against jizzle.

You know its bad when both teams/fans/coaches are livid about the officiating in a game.

6 technicals in a game that wasn't very chippy between the teams. If memory serves 4 of the 6 were directly related to officiating, not physical play between opponents.
