Five Guys Coming to Des Moines

Smash Burger and Fuddruckers both fit that description.

Interesting. I didn't know Fuddruckers had a drive thru. I prefer Red Robin to Fuddruckers so I rarely go there.

I haven't been to Smashburger in a while so I didn't know it had one either. I do like their burgers though.

Thanks for purposely misunderstanding. The definition of fast food you posted fits Smash Burger and Fuddruckers.

SB is quick service. Doesn't fuddrucjers have servers? If so, not fast food.

They do not have servers. I order at the counter, pick it up, and take it to my table. If servers are a no-no then Whataburger and Culvers are both out.

Ok. I didn't think of them as fast food personally.

Smashburger is good but I haven't had it in a while.

Fuddruckers really seems like more of a sit down restaurant to me and I think their prices match that definition.

Huh? I mean server as in take your order after you choose from a menu at your seat.

If you order from a counter and then go to your seat without your food by design then that is qyick service not fast food.

You're weird are you originally from overseas or something?

You're making Gunnerclone seem mild mannered. That means you're doing it wrong!

With all the so called "hype" surrounding this 5 guys, my wife and I went there a month ago. We weren't in there very long as we looked at the long line, the plain menu and the bags of fries out in the middle of the restaurant. I thought it looked pretty plain to be honest. We left and went to Red Robin instead.

If I'm going for a burger I'd rather spend a few extra bucks and go to Red Robin or say Zombie burger. Even Big City burger was ok when I went there. I'm not big on fast food, but I used to like Hardee's or Culvers.

I had Whataburger in Shreveport before the Independence bowl. It sucked, but that may have just been Shreveport.

I really like Red Robin. If I'm going to sit down and have a nice burger, that's high on my list. Zombie burger has just been good but not great the last few times I've went there. Not sure why.

Doesn't help that my kid puked on the floor last time we went to Zombie burger. I felt horrible for the person that had to clean it. It just kept coming out!

Fuddruckers doesn't have servers. Whataburger and Culvers have you order your food at the counter, have you sit down, and then bring you your food just like at Fuddruckers.

Edit
Fuddruckers doesn't bring it to your table as I referenced in post 184.

And I don't think Fast Food/Fast Service/Fast Causal should hinge on if your order is brought to you. Panera doesn't even bring your food to you anymore, and I wouldn't call it Fast Food.
