You do know that the logos are going to cover a massive upgraded sound system right? There is no way they are going to extend the video protion out the supports.
I'm sure they will put some ads on the old board but I bet sponsors will be spending more money to get their ads on the big board.
It looks like saying it was 17th in the nation was including the new boards in Arizona, Michigan and Kentucky that are going up this year. So we are still sitting at 17th in the nation.

I'm going to get some people really worked up with this next question...
Are they going to display the game score, clock, and timeouts left on the new board or just on the old one? If they are going to do it on the new one, that will leave even less space for actual video.

I see they decided to change the text from "Jack Trice Stadium" in this artist's representation to "Cyclones" in the actual product, for underneath the logos.

Here's a question that I haven't seen answered: Will the board have a roof? Right now, there's no covering on the top of the board. And, there are no "sides" closing off the supports from the crossbar area. I just can't imagine that they would let the snow and rain in on all those electronics. I stopped by the stadium today and with the sun shinging in the top and sides, you can really see into that speaker area.
Nope, nothing whatsoever, in fact, all the wires are completely exposed too. They want it to short out and start on fire as soon as possible.
The score, clocks, and timeouts left are pretty small piece of the puzzle don't you think?
You'd think some people just want to watch the game on the video board instead of looking at the field in front of you. What fun is that?
