Ames in the summer really is spectacular.

This. The traffic alone changes everything. Bars are way different and there’s not so many people, especially younger “patrons”. Everyone on campus if you take summer courses or around campus in general is just so much happier.

I was in the building last week. There is soot accumulation by the ceiling on every floor. There was some really thick black smoke. The building will be closed until April. They have to remove all the ceilings and wipe and clean everything down. Then put the ceiling back up and potentially have to repaint quite a bit. Then the HVAC system needs cleaned.

I dunno. I was a one-semester hire. I just follow updates on their Facebook page.
I assume offices are basically home, and then meet students somewhere arranged on campus, like the MU, or right after class, or something. Everyone essentially would have to function like us adjuncts and make it up as they go.
