I mean it is Phoenix after all....

Yeah when I used to travel to Phoenix for work I wanted to punch people that commented that it didn’t fell THAT hot because there was no humidity. It was 118 one day. It was sheer hell. The devils anus.

One time I traveled to Pheonix (8 months or so) and in February it hit 101 and I was like "**** this".

But to be fair, in the shade it's not terrible but it's pretty ******* hot

I was in Vegas one July and it was 115. What got me though was it "cooled" off to 99 overnight. It was still over 100 at 2:00am when I came back to the hotel.

I phrased my question very poorly. I asked if this was common, meaning do other bowl games do the same thing and have an original and replicas that the winners get.

No worries. I was just being an ass. I understood. I apparently worded my joke poorly because I was learned multiple times that there can indeed only be 1 original.

I always figured all the bowls made a new trophy every year, the trophy that is awarded tot he team after the game. I was surprised to learn this about the fiesta bowl.

I had to go out there for my wife’s nieces graduation. I wasn’t thinking and ran to the car in the driveway barefoot for something. Burnt my feet at 9 in the morning. Broke 120 every day that week. It was pure hell. Rental place gave me a car with black leather interior. Had to turn it on and let it run for five minutes or the seats and steering g wheel would burn you.

Western Washington is a freaking desert as well. It was 117 in August the time I was there. I don't care if it is a dry heat, my oven is a dry heat and I don't plan on living in there.

At that time I was living in Co. Springs, and it would get hot - over 100 and dry pretty commonly, and I could handle it fine. I was used to hot temps. But Phoenix was a whole new level. Was also in Dallas a couple years ago in July during a heat wave, and they had some rain previously, and by about 4 p.m. in the city it was incredibly hot and humid. Even as bad as that was, the raw high temps in Phoenix were still worse.

90 and humid is uncomfortable. 115 plus, no matter how dry, is flat out miserable.

The school getting a replica and the "real" trophy staying with the Fiesta Bowl would explain why Campbell looked at the director during the presentation and asked if it was ok to pick up the football on top. I thought it was a little weird watching it live, but it all makes sense now.

Hottest ever recorded in Phoenix in Feb is 92°

It was based on my car dashboard which tells me either parking adds 10% or the thermometer in the car is 10% off. Likely a mix of both.

Looks like a few days were in the upper 80s/low 90s in Mid February-Early march in 2016 based on this site - http://threadex.rcc-acis.org/ and that's when I was thinking.
