Favorite Tailgating Foods?

One dish which seems to disappear and get comments is
chili shrimp. Easy as heck. Experiment at home and see what you think.

Get 12 oz to a pound of medium or large, peeled, deveined (tail on or off) shrimp. Coat the bottom of a large saucepan with a good amount of olive oil turn to medium (or high and drop to medium once hot), toss in frozen shrimp liberally coat with chili powder, onion, garlic, cumin, and simmer.

In a little over ten minutes and they are ready. Toothpicks or finger food. Best if made on-site and served warm and fresh-made, but will hold up if premade and left in the juices and warmed.

It has been a while but we'd go through about 4 pounds for 10+people;.

Sounds really good, except I’m not familiar with the spice/seasoning “shimmer.”

j/k

I used to love brats, but then was on a ambulance call and a dude in the bay next to us was getting one extracted from his rear end (didn’t ask why he had a brat up his rear) and I kinda lost a big part of my cravings for them.
Sounds like a Jackass skit

I used a similar spice recipe after an overnight lemon pepper marinade. Toss them on the grill for ten minutes. One of my groups favorites.

My results often had shrimp dying out and getting tough/rubbery on the grill. So, that is why we went to this recipe. What am I doing wrong with my shrimp grilling? And a squeeze of lemon juice is good on Chili Shrimp, too.

Tip Top Chili for breakfast with beers of course
Caseys breakfast pizza after leaving tiptop
Love to bring out the smoker ribs/pulled pork
Brats ( really loving the hyvee skinless jalapeno cheddar brats) legit
Jen's mexicorn dip is pretty solid also...

When the weather gets a little cooler, I'm bringing my Dutch ovens and make cobblers and monkey bread for those early start games

2) Jalapeño peppers with cream cheese and a little smokie inside. Then wrap it in a piece of bacon and secure it with a toothpick. Fry them up in a skillet and enjoy. No idea what that’s called, but they are good.
I believe these are called Atomic Buffalo Turds. Also, try them on the smoker instead of a skillet.

Man I was scrolling through this thread quickly looking for food ideas and I saw this and thought it was saying...

"a dude tailgating in the bay (parking space) next to you was getting one extracted from his rear end"

and I was really hoping you didn't tailgate anywhere near me.
