Ok, so I am listening to XM80s on 8 at work today. And I realize I just cranked up my headphones since my favorite 80s song is on.

Frida - I know theres something going on.

What is your favorite song? Even if it is a little emberassing, I guess I just shared that I love Abba (even though most of their stuff is 70s).

Favorite. that is tough (as rain).

I would say top 3 which are all innerchangable and from the same album:

1. Billie Jean
2. Thriller
3. Beat It.

When Micheal was Micheal.

From the "ALBUM OF THE DECADE" (according to Rolling Stone) "Death or Glory" by The Clash.

"Billie Jean is not my luv-uh; she's just a girl who says that I am the one"...

Heart and Soul, Huey Lewis

Owner of a Lonely Heart, Yes

"She's an easy lover, she'll get a hold on you believe it!"

I really don't care for the lyrics of any of those songs, but I like the tunes. It's hard for me to remember back that far, but I think I used to go dancing in those days.

She Drives Me Crazy by Fine Young Cannibals, hands down. Followed by In a Big Country by Big Country in a distant second.

Not the ultimate 80's song for me, but for some reason when I read this thread I first thought of 'Stranger in Town' by Toto.

Too many songs from the 80's to pick a favorite.

Pretty much anything by Metallica or Motley Crue. Especially:

When we were warming up before HS baseball games we'd have a boombox cranked up playing Motley or KISS. Most of us had mullets so the opposing team was probably either intimidated or thought we were a joke. But we only lost one game so either way it worked:yes:

Did you like the new remixes? I kinda like them.

Hallowed Be Thy Name - Iron Maiden. Not only my favorite 80's song but my Favorite song of all time.

Just about anything from Van Halen.

Hot for teacher!!

All I can think of is varsity blues when I hear that song.

And everytime I hear "Naughty girls need love too" by Samantha Fox, all I can think about is interspecies erotica.

My brother, who is a few years older than me, turned me on to the Clash before I got to high school. In high school all my buddies were listening to heavy metal so I kind of lost track of them. After high school, got into them again. Still listen to them quite a bit. It still amazes me that some people have never even heard of them. I played Straight to Hell on a jukebox one night and the guys I was with had no idea who the band was:sad: Definitely one of the best bands ever.

For some reason I have to admit that I still listen to Cinderella once or twice a year...embarrassing I know...but it is true!

Also, I really like "I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight" by the Cutting Crew.

Please don't laugh at me!
