Farmageddon

I haven't seen any kind of legitimate discussion about the game at ksufans. It's a bunch of really lame attempts to call Iowa a **** hole (their school is in Manhattan, KS for Christ's sake) and talk about how they used to kick our *** in the 90's. That's about it. Have they thrown in the towel about the game?

There are no hog farms to speak of in Kansas. Sure a small one here or there, but they smell terrible so we got rid of them. Kinda like moving low wage manufacturing to third world countries. I'm sure you understand.

Anyway, it's great that they are doing this for them.

The short answer is "yes," they have thrown in the towel...on the season.

There's plenty of serious discussion...there is a premium board over there as well. The rivals board is the more serious board...which is also premium.

And, to be fair, I have been to both towns and there's nothing, I mean nothing that sets Ames apart from Manhattan. Honest feedback here. Manhattan is the hills, lots of trees, great college bar district (Aggieville), very scenic (flint hills, Kanza Prairie. Ames has nice access to I-35...only differentiator for Ames, IMO.

Did he make a joke? I don't understand what's happening. This thread is too long to read.

I'll sum up...

1. Both our teams are horrible, and probably should be D1AA.

2. We are looking forward to partying with you guys in KC.

3. Stay away from Westport. It's a ****hole now that the P&L district has been built and the Plaza expanded with new bars. This includes Kelley's. Everyone in KC makes fun of you guys for going to Kelley's, FWIW.

4. Bring haybales to sit on while tailgating (grass roots movement by both sides to really sell this Farmageddon concept to Mizzzou and KU fans...they are jealous.)

Have to agree. Nothing wrong with Manhattan, it's nice. I've always had a great time there. Plus it's close enough to KC. Any ISU fan who is bagging on Manhattan simply has not been there.

Oh yeah, KSU still sux. Always has, always will.

Does Manhattan get SPANKTRAVISION? Cause that's the only channel that you'll be able to see this game on.

I have no idea. And I really don't care any longer.....

If he was serious - it was stupid. If he was joking, it was stupid. The math comes up the same regardless of which way you care to do it.

The little I have read makes me think it's recess time in Kansas.

The KSU fan mantra:

"
Here at Kansas State we only care about scoreboard. Except when we don't have it, in which case we care about history. But only recent history. Kind of recent. About eleven years of it. But not the last eleven years. Like, subtract the last four years, and then the previous eleven years. That's the kind of recent history we're talking about. Except in basketball, in which case history is utterly irrelevant, and only the future which hasn't happened yet matters, except when we're trying to convince people we have a basketball school, in which case history matters, but only the last forty years. Or rather, the last forty years before the last twenty years."

You come off really needy with a post like that. You're better than that, dude.

Have fun in KC!

Fail. The state of Kansas has no hills, no trees, and is only considered "scenic" if you enjoy looking at miles of wheat broken up every so often with sunflowers...

Everyone remember that this happened in the state of Kansas:

Kansas man survives nail to the head

I have also determined that PeteKSUfans is the same person as Handsome Pete, who dances for nickels.

I spent most of my time in Manhattan near the stadium and it seemed far more scuzzy than the area around Jack Trice. Where we have lush gardens, entrance gates, etc, you guys have a grain elevator and a sheep pasture. Honest feedback. I've heard Aggieville is decent, very similar to Campustown, but I haven't been there. Also, the ISU campus routinely wins award for it's beauty, and Ames frequently ranks very high in best small college towns or small cities to live in. I think the world's verdict is Ames > Manhattan.

Speak for yourself! Just because you and your fellow Manhattanites have gone Doom and Gloom, doesn't mean we have. I BELIEVE!

We have CPR and your coach might need CPR after the 'Clones beat the Wildkitties in KC.

Terribly embarrassing. A dark moment to be sure.

There was a lettering writing campaign and the thing was never aired at the stadium. True story.

I had a towel ready and everything.

You guys are like a miniature version of us. Like our little brother or something. We kinda like you, but mostly just ignore you. Maybe we can fix that this weekend....besties in the making:pcute:

Thanks for coming to our board to ignore us.

Having been to both towns, I have to agree that Manhattan and Ames are pretty similar as far as the cities are concerned. The only real difference is that Manhattan feels much more remote as opposed to Ames.

And yeah, I would love to actually get the opinion of some KSU fans on the game. All I have seen on KSU this season is basically the box scores. Are they really that bad? It just seems like there is a lot more optimism on CF than there is over on the KSU site.

Seriously people...KSU and ISU are eerily similar. I'm not sure there are more similar schools in any conference.

I like KSU, as each time I've been there I've had a blast. ISU Tailgating is better than KSU's, but Aggieville is miles ahead of Ames Campustown FWIW. I have tons of K-State fans, and tons if ISU fans in KC as friends. This game will be a blast.

Farmageddon is pretty funny as well...good name!
