Fans for WV?

Without sending this to the cave even quicker. Pretty much 99% compliance on mask wearing outside with no known links to spread via fans at the games this all seems like a no brainer to me.

For December games wearing a mask is probably not a bad idea, even without the virus. Helps keep your face warm when that old north wind comes rolling through Jack Trice.

Giant Zoom call, hooked up to the speakers so the crowd noise would be loud enough to make the stadium shake. Or we could all clap to throw off their center snap, like the crap TOE. :p

Winner. I'm no COVID denier, but this seems pretty damn safe.

Bingo. By all accounts you've been able to do this safely and fans have adhered to the protocols. Frankly I think the only reason against it at this point isn't the risk of spread but rather bad optics, which I'm not sure is a good enough reason to justify no fans. Glad they made this call.

I have no problem with the small number of fans we've been having at the games, but garbage like this is why things are so bad that it's even a question. Cases are still sky high.

This a weird response... So you admit the amount of fans is fine which is the “some sort of a normal life” I’m referring to. But it’s also that mentality causing sky high cases. Pick a side buddy.

Its not a weird response. It just shows, 8 or 9 months into this, you STILL don't understand what is going on. Telling the "panicked people" to isolate is so ignorant its sad.

Try to be smarter. The point is that this particular activity - outdoors, spread out, and in masks - isn't much of a concern. But many activities are, and knuckle-dragging comments about "panicked people" and "I won't live my life in fear" shows you aren't smart enough to distinguish between the two.

SEC is doing about 1/3 full capacity, the virus is wayyyyyy less dangerous outside, I see no reason why we should not have 15k fans there in attendance, for possibly the biggest game in program history.

Adults can be smart enough to know if they should be there, or not.

Again, last line shows complete lack of understanding.

I also think it can be safely done, but it's not about the people who should or shouldn't be there. Do you still not understand how contagious this is?

Just going to leave this here for your review. Apparently the experts at Iowa State feel it is ok to have fans at the stadium - probably much to your dismay

And don't be condescending, of course I know a virus is contagious (that is an outrageous statement on your end).

My point is that fans should be allowed in the stadium to wear masks and distance, there is nothing cavalier about that attitude. If you feel that this is really dangerous OUTDOORS, then we are simply at an impasse.
