F1 2025 Discussion

Watching qualifying this morning because I’m old, lame and can’t hang anymore. Tough break for Bearman and Antonelli. Lawson looked lost all weekend and Ocon still sucks. McLaren looks like world beaters so far and Hamilton probably isn’t going to be the savior Ferrari hoped for.

Williams and RB are for real, top of the midfield is going to be a fun battle. If Liam and Kimi are going to underperform like that there’s going to be tons of points up for grabs.

Kiki at least had an excuse that his car was damaged. Liam just sucked. Wonder how long Red Bull waits to put Yuki in that seat if Liam don’t figure it out

I always wonder how much money is behind some of these guys and how much that forces the hand of these teams to put rookies in the seat. Crazy to me, if winning is really what it’s all about, how Merc or Red Bull didn’t sign Sainz.

Sainz not getting one of the open RB or Mercedes seats was baffling to me.

I cannot figure out why they wouldn’t want him next to Max at RB. Would be a perfect #2 there IMO.

The story as I understand it is there is bad blood between Sainz Sr. and Jos Verstappen from back in Sainz Jr. and Max's days in Toro Rosso together.

Don’t think this is entirely Ocons fault. The car is under steering every where and they have ZERO high speed corner speed. Which is odd considering testing didn’t reveal that.

F2 race has been trying to get started for awhile now and it’s just raining too hard. Hopefully it lightens up soon.

Hoping it gets going at the right time and then that it's still a little messy, although so many rookies and guys in new cars it may get interesting on its own. Would only really be disappointed with a Norris-Piastri 1-2, would rather see Oscar win his home race. From there, super interested to see if Yuki and Alex can hold on to good finishes, does Ferrari at least have race pace, etc.
