F*** These Refs

This whole conspiracy against Iowa State is nonsense. We were 5-26 from 3 point range. Our bigs were outmatched and all they could do was foul- constantly in the wrong place. We didn’t play our best game against a good team on the road. Miss shots, play sloppy D, you’re going to lose.

Does anyone really think TJ went to the locker room after the game and said, “great game guys, and we would’ve won of it weren’t for those meddling refs”. There is no crazy conspiracy hatched by back-room power brokers to keep Iowa State down. We just need to play better on the road.

Hmm
.. Once our bigs were all in foul trouble, they started getting easy paint points... Who would have thought?

So the combination of TT “pushing” first and our foul prone big guys, who have been all season, getting called for fouls is the big conspiracy here?

Again, you guys just look like gigantic morons blaming the refs for a beat down. We got screwed in Lawrence, we got outplayed tonight.

Never said a conspiracy on any of my posts, and not claiming it is... But I'm saying this game was reffed terribly.

And not in the minority here, you are. Shoot Even Stansbury pointed it out.

Not necessary given nearly equal FTs in that game. Texas shot two more I believe. That was a fairly officiated game unlike tonight.
Fair enough. However, what about the Xavier game? Xavier shot 3 TIMES as many free throws than us and we beat them by 12 (and oddly no ref conspiracy threads after that game). The difference: they were 3-21 from 3 and we hit 50% (10-20). When you shoot that many 3’s that poorly (like we did tonight), you’re going to lose.

There is no conspiracy..... but the game was not called the same on both sides. Kunz 2nd foul was a total flop by the tech player.... that's just 1 example

That was the first of many kind boggling one sided ref calls in that game... 2 of the next 3 possessions the tech player cleared put a clone with the same arm bar push, and was let play. Inconsistencies within a minute of each other. See also Jones over the back.

Why were the threes open in that game? Because we drove and kicked... And we're allowed to drive because movement wasn't restricted.

I’m a big fan of Pollard and, so far, TJ but these guys need to do something. Getting real sick of us not having a chance in certain football and basketball games because you know the league will engineer the outcome they desire. If our leadership isn’t going to do anything about it then why should anybody else care?
A big reason why I don't watch as many games as I used to. If I assume we will be hosed if it is close, why would I waste my team only to get very angry and with no outlet?

We had plenty of open looks tonight- they just weren’t falling. This was like watching the Baylor game a couple weeks ago where we shot around 10% from 3. We win that game if we hit just a couple more. That’s not on the refs.

There was also the sure fire dunk coming for Conditt and got mugged by 2 or 3 tech players.... and of course no call. That was a page taken right out of the WWE reffing handbook. Nothing to see here.

Not many open looks. That's just plain wrong

And 5 of the 7 free throws were by the losing teams 12th man who came in with 2 minutes left. Can’t tell me refs didn’t notice a 15-3 foul disparity and think “****, this looks weird”

My God, Techs 4th foul in the half was just touching with two hands, something they did all game, every ******* possession. Why was it a random as foul when it was a 20 point game, but not a foul before?
I’m sure it had nothing to with the fact that Walker came in, immediately attacked the basket and went to contact. Meanwhile, Brockington and Gabe combined to take 3 shots at the rim and 20 jump shots.

ISU was 10/17 at the rim. Some of those misses were bigs off a dish or offensive board. So the bottom line is ISU absolutely did not attack the rim off the dribble.

I hate to see this as the majority of our fan base’s default anytime we lose: blame it on the refs. I’ll give you the Kansas game and a couple of poor, critical calls, but not tonight. We beat ourselves tonight.

Yes, that was terrible. Nadolny needs to start getting the Marcus Smart treating. He is a grade a douche flopper

I don't see Tech going far in the tourney, they call it a lot tighter in March and their O is approximately as terrible as ours.

That’s 4 games in a row with one sided officiating against ISU. Lucky to have a win out of it. There comes a time where a university official or T.J. needs to openly call them out. It’s getting ******* ridiculous. Take the fine and **** these Big 12 refs.
Didn't Texas have more free throws and made free throws then we did last week?

I can’t stand the way the game is being officiated. It’s a travesty for the game. Who wants to watch this ****? It’s like watching the 90s Knicks.
