It’s was probably defensive holding more than DPI. You see plenty of defensive holding calls on the other side of the field from where the ball is thrown.

There were a lot of bad play calls and a lot of mistakes, but picking up that pi flag is as bad as officiating gets.

Totally agree. But a flag was thrown. And was thrown for a reason. It’s holding, either before or after the interception.

You miss the point. If we’d played well enough to win the game… we would have won the game despite this call. We didn’t come close to playing well and we deserve the L.

I’m just arguing to argue. I agree with what you’re saying. It is a hypothetical. But defensive holding after the interception would be the correct call if they say it was uncatachable. Which would then back them up closer to the end zone.

Again, sounds great, but what you feel like they deserve doesn't dictate the rules.

If your argument is that a likely TD doesn't matter in a 7 point game then I guess I don't know how to respectfully respond to that.
