While technically an own goal that one was going into the back of the net either way.
That was kind of a BS call to give England the PK right? And then the keeper makes the right read, but gets kind of unlucky. Honestly I like both these teams so it's hard to root for one over the other.
England is just impossible to root for. A bunch of Spurs, Raheem Diving, and Jack Greilish. Yuck.
Amazing play and from one of the replay angles it looked like he came close to stuffing HK's rebound shot as well. That would've been legend.
Spinnazola is a huge loss for them and of course the final is in London. Plus the refs and UEFA are all in for England.
When Sterling in on form he's one of the most exciting players in the world, it's too bad he feels the need to throw himself to the ground at the first sign he's going to lose the ball.
Classic England commentary from Steve Mcmanaman…”the penalty was a little suspect but England was the better team…at least in the extra time” like the team that has the ball a little more for 30 minutes is the “better team”.
I actually find most of this England squad pretty likable, but I’m having a hard time getting myself to the point of actually cheering for them. The incessant “It’s coming home” crap and the British media hype really make me want to see them crash and burn just for the entertainment value.
