ESPN+?

Games on ESPN Plus can still be on TV, right? Some Drake games was on Mediacom 22 channel and it was an ESPN+.

So will the 8 schools providing content receive more money from the ESPN television contract than OU and UT? Seems that if these schools are giving up the rights, you can't just keep distributing it evenly.

Might be a dumb question but if I cut the cord and get rid of cable...can you get an app for a smart tv to get Cyclones.tv on your actual tv?

Sorry I realize a little off topic but didn't want to start a whole thread on it.

Sounds as though it's gonna cost in addition to already subscribing to ESPN through cable or satellite. Too bad there is not a way around that fee, but this appears to be the way of the future.

I had heard they were working on a Roku app for Cyclones.tv. I have no idea if that was ever finished.

I'm all for Cyclones.tv shifting to Espn+. Would subscribe. There's some solid soccer content on Espn+.

So no smart tv app? Is Roku just that little usb looking thing? How does everyone watch Cyclones.tv without Mediacom?

It sort of depends on your television. Lot's of smart televisions come with Roku or Apple built in so you don't need a separate device.

Roku has an app and it works as good as Cyclones.tv allows it to. I usually stream it using my firetv’s browser directly from the website and it works pretty well also.

Sounds like all tier 3 rights in FB, MBB, VB, WBB and wrestling are going to ESPN+.

I don't see how Cyclones.TV survives though this is WAY, WAY better for distribution.

ESPN+ is a carrier, not a producer. CyTV may not survive as a live event carrier, but the games still need to be produced and distributed.
