Emmanuel Malou

It really doesn't take much to win that battle
In most cases I would agree with you but we are talking about basketball coaches.

I was being a bit facetious with that last part. I would assume most coaches at least are aware of most other coaches in the NCAA.

Self has been glued in to ISU for about 3 years now and he's especially interested this year because it's the biggest threat to his streak that there has ever been and we have big recent wins over KU. He's probably watching a MSU game on his ipad right now. Self is no dummy.

I'm sure Self is perfectly aware of ISU. I'm also sure that he's not going around offering scholarships to kids just because ISU did.

Probably should just shut our program down and become a pipeline for KU. Self will throw away all other aspirations only to punk the noob Prohm. Also, everyone send JP emails demanding that ISU offer a daily flight from Ames to Yuba.

in general that is correct and not really the point. The premise is more if there is one player every year that ISU has invested time in and is equal to several KU is in on, is the player with the ISU relationship worth more to KU than the other equivalent players?
What say you?

No. If you're making decisions to hurt your opponent over helping your team, you're not going to be successful. And Self is damned successful.

Please refrain from generalizing. I was just offering the idea that maybe you can benefit from hurting your 'enemy'.

The original argument wasn't whether Malou or Diallo hurt his team. The assertation was that he offered them because ISU did. Which is stupid to think. He offered them because they're talented and can make a big impact.

Zachly....Self recruiting kids he wasn't legitimately interested in just because ISU is and he wants to knock ISU down a level is the recruiting version of the prevent defense.

This is the exact same thing we said about Vaughn and Diallo

We lost Vaughn because his handler was offered big bucks for him to play at UNLV. Diallo was ours to lose, but Fred closed the door when he told him that he may not even be here next season.
