All kidding aside, I wish we had the guy. He did avg. 17pts. in JUCO and could have given us the role playing 'big' this team needed for depth. Still a tad bummed we couldn't land Beilfeldt or another guy to help us. But I'm sure we tried.
If we wanted him I'm sure we could have got him since nobody else wanted him. I mean Kyle Meyer put up big numbers in JUCO too and he's taller, do you wish we would have got him?
Jones confuses me. Haven't kept up with Iowa's class much, but his stats look pretty good and a Hawkeye fan I worked with was excited about his commitment. But I see in some Hawkeye threads (not on HN) that they are expecting very little. Apparently his defense is very bad.
So which is it? They are going to need some guys that can put the ball in the hoop. He seems to fit the bill.
I think you can tell a lot about a JUCO play by who offers and mid majors didn't even want him. A lot of guys that aren't good put up good numbers in JUCO so it's kind of a crap shoot. You never know though, Willie Atwood was a highly sought after JUCO last year and he sucked at ASU this year. Just look at a few of our JUCOs: Hogue and McGee had P5 offers, Edozie and Bluford didn't.

Well a guy 'like' him as far as a big who could just fill a role. Didn't suggest he was all big10. But whatever.
He's not really a big because he can't defend or score in the post. We needed a big body big guy to fill a role, not a 6'8 shooter

I hope he comes here. He's one of the biggest players I've ever looked forward to seeing under Fred.

He went Juco because of his prep school/eligibility issues which means he has to spend 2 years there so he is for sure a 2016 recruit
Working out with the team yes, but he has to graduate from his JC first. He's a 2016 recruit
