I'm pretty sure I heard on the radio that there is a Electronics Liquidation Sale this weekend at the old JC Pennys at Southridge.

Anyone else here this?

Anyone else been to something like this?

Is it worth it?

Car stereos $5, Car amps from $10, CDs/DVDs/Blurays $5, Human Organs $15, Black Market Babies $12

I have gone to them in Cedar Rapids before. They usually charge a admission fee at the door. And for the most part they are selling crap. Though some decent deals can be had , but it is the same deals you can usually find online if you know when and where to look.

You'll have to by dry ice to keep the organs viable. It's usally a wash when it's all said and done.

Well this got out of hand quickly, wouldn't expect anything else. Good work.

Thankfully, I'm looking for a new liver so now I know where to go.

I went to one of these back in the day somewhere in Cedar Rapids I think... They have lots of brands like

Rockwood
Kenford

They had jeans with the labels cut off too. Not sure what electronics and jeans have to do with each other.

Yeah, pretty much a chance for "retailers" to sell their knock off crap and make more money at the door than they do selling their wares.

lol...last and only one I went to (many years ago) they were selling "Tommy Hilfiger" sweatshirts with a Fruit of the Loom label.

Having worked in a few different facilities that have hosted these events, I would encourage everyone to steer clear. They are hosted by fly by night organizations who will sell you refurbished crap and then won't be around by the time you discover you have been sold a bill of goods. They not only leave town, they also give you the run around when you try to call the out of state number and they regularly "go out of business" and then start operating again under another name with new contact information.

Any one that I have seen has not been worth the price of admission. There may be reputable ones out there, but I have yet to see one.

Just my opinion.

Pretty much sums up the old saying... "If it's too good to be true, it probably is."
