Ejim out 4-6 weeks

I don't "hate" Percy or any other of our players. I feel like I'd be a pretty poor fan if I did.

But objectively, to say that Percy went through a "sophomore slump" last season would be an understatement. His game at Texas last season might be the worst I've ever seen a Cyclone play.

But, with that being written, I do think he has the potential to be a solid player for us. I don't know if he'll ever be a full-time starter in his career, but at the least he can be a good role player, and I hope that starts this season, especially with Mel's injury.

Ah, the Percapocalypse (trademark: Cyclonepride). I remember that well.

I have high hopes for Percy based on some flashes of obvious talent. Physically I think he is there. Just needs to mentally get into the flow of what Fred is trying to do.

Did RustShack steal your lunch money back in grade school or something?

Seems like you're taking this way too personally.

No, I don't know any Rustys.

Sometimes the stupidity on this board is too much to handle. Ol' Rusty is just one of the posters that contributes pure garbage with no basis in fact.

I'm not pessimistic in the vein of a clonedude or Cydkar, but posting things that clearly aren't true in the name of Cyclone Optimism! only contributes to the delusion that leads to massive meltdown threads where reasonable discussion is replaced with poop-throwing children.

I'm not pessimistic so much as easily annoyed by blind cheerleading. I've seen a lot of bad stuff.

I know we have a good freshman class coming in, and some good jucos but it seems that everyone on cf thinks that with Ejim we SHOULD beat michigan. I realize its at Hilton, but Michigan is good. Even with Ejim, I think a win against Michigan would be a significant upset. With out Ejim in the lineup we will have to play flawless and hope that Michigan isnt at the top of their game to have a chance, especially this early in the season with so many new pieces.

No. Nobody plays flawlessly, we have tons of talent, an excellent coach, and Hilton. Just have to play well.

Yes, I'm planning on a huge win.

We do have an excellent coach, Hilton, and tons of UNPROVEN talent. Flawless was obviously and overstatement, but we will have to be at our very best. Michigan gets multiple top 100 recruits every year. Im just guessing but im betting their starting lineup has at least 4 if not 5 guys that were in the top 100 of their recruiting class. Im not saying that recruiting number next to their name means much, but what are we basing our expectations off of for our freshman?

Niang Thomas and Morris were all top 100 guys for us too. They may have a talent advantage, but we are closing the gap on many of the top teams in that talent difference. And Hilton is the great equalizer. Not saying we for sure win, but I think it would have been a heck of a game with Ejim. We will still fight without him

Hogue is obviously unproven, and I in no way meant he's better than Ejim... But there is a lot of talent on this roster, especially at guard. Hogue must be pretty good for us to move to a three forward lineup instead of a three guard lineup. I've also heard Hogue is better suited to play the four(heard that a few months ago).

With Fred as the coach, and the talent on this team I wouldn't count us out against anyone, ever. ESPECIALLY in Hilton.

I saw Ejim walking around yesterday and he didn't look like he had any problems. In fact, I almost told him to slow down and take it easy haha. It's a good sign that it should be just a matter of time until he comes back and not a season nagging injury

This does suck, but if he can make it back before Auburn, our record will probably be the same as would have with him. Rather have this injury now than jan/feb.

Just watched the postgame presser and Hoiberg said Ejim is probably ahead of schedule. So, hopefully less than 4 weeks!

I think the UMKC game is more likely than Michigan. That's already two weeks away. He'd have to be really ahead of schedule to make that one. Not putting it past him though, just not expecting it.

Anyone see how he was cheering and pushing the guys tonight?? Love this guy!!! Even looked like he was playing coach for a bit tonight!
