D'Vario Montgomery

Is that irony when the guy on this board making the huge deal about not wanting a stud receiver because he cussed at a ref is getting bent and calling a bunch of you shitheads?

OT: I laugh every time I see your name.

The kid said he wants to go to a party, so do I. What's the big deal?

Don't think for a second that the jersey chasers aren't contacted as soon as a big visitor is making his way to campus.

Really dude.....Just like Steele and Horne bothered me.
Point taken. You were wrong that time too, so thanks for pointing that out to us.

Remember another guy who was suspended much of his final season before coming to ISU? We had questions then, but Darius Reynolds was a fine Cyclone. If you recall, CPR, shortly after his hire, said he was aware of issues with DR and had a straight talk with him. Then, CPR invited DR to remain an ISU commit. DM is here this weekend as an ISU invitee. Whatever CPR wants and does is fine with me. CPR's evaluation is good enough for me. Like most fans here, I'm in no position to make an educated evaluation of DM, so I won't.
What he said. QFT! I sent him rep, but he's probably still blocking me...:swoon:

I think a lot of our recruits on official visits hit the town and may not exactly be at bible study...

Just sayin... It happens everywhere.

I know some of you probably don't want to hear it, but alot of our players that are on the team right now party every weekend. Whether you like it or not, it's what happens when you are a stud football or sport athlete.

Are you directing this at me? Because I know they party, and I know HS recruits go to parties too.

I'm kinda curious as to what kind of argument this is. On the postgame radio show, Fred even referred to his players going out to party tonight, but with a big game coming up again, they needed to be right back again tomorrow ready to go.

So what if the kid wants to go to a party? He didn't say that he wanted to get wasted and get arrested...you guys do know that there is a middle ground between partying and total dissipation, right?

Why? To avoid reuniting players that have played with each other before that know each other's style (Richardson + Montgomery)...oh wait...

Really dude.....Just like Steele and Horne bothered me. Get a grip man. We're talking about a possible character issue. And you honestly think ISU is going to magically do something to change a kid that 18 years with his parents couldn't? I hope the kid is as good as advertised and I hope he will do what's right if he chose ISU. But, that doesn't change the fact he's a high risk on character.

This literally happens all the time, especially at ISU due to a couple things:

1. Inevitable college life change and the necessity of being somewhat responsible.

2. Iowa, both geographically and culturally is so much different than a lot of places these guys come from that it is almost a forced change.

Also, if you think this is a huge character risk, it is nothing compared to so other things that have been brought into ISU. Honestly, unless these kids did something horrible to another human, we need to give them a chance. We especially need to give chances to kids who managed to hang in the Rivals 150 even though they didn't play half the year. If we start going out knocking everyone off the list who has gotten in some sort of trouble, a lot of the good players we can actually compete for are gone. If he comes here and causes a bunch of trouble, it will be handled. We aren't in a position to be telling an athlete of this caliber, "No thanks" because of one issue.

Go out and party a lil, enjoy it, and do it again against KState. Be safe, make good decisions (opposite of Vroman)

Pray tell...?

Are you saying you can party, have a few drinks, and get laid....all without being whitegirl wasted and making an *** of yourself?

Wish I would've been given that knowledge at freshman orientation, I missed the memo.

It is shady but the kids 18. I'm sure you guys were looking to party at 18 when you could. Plus there's much worse going on at SEC schools.

What college kids go out and have fun, I thought they went home to study on Sat. night and had some milk and cookies.
