I was terribly disappointed. The beginning of the movie felt like I was watching a high school play. If that makes sense. Corny and acting was bad. Not expecting oscar quality From Carey and Daniels but... Driving the misuse of words joke in the ground for the entire movie. I may have chucked once or twice

Jim Carrey isn't funny. I wish people would stop paying him.

Was going to go see it with the lady friend this weekend, but opted out because I figured I would be disappointed in spending dang near $50 for two tickets, pop, and popcorn.

Instead we rented a $1 movie (Prisoners, pretty good movie btw) from Redbox and drank cheap beer all night. Sounds like we made the right decision.

If you're comparing it to the first one it's pretty bad. If you're not comparing to the first it's still not great. Maybe a couple one liners

I thought it was funny. I'm very easily entertained though. First one was much better but I still enjoyed this one.

Same with me. I'll probably like it because I'm easily entertained. Sadly, I nearly hyperventilated watching Dumb and Dumber on VHS with a bunch of friends 6 years (and dozens of viewings) after it initially came out. It wasn't even that funny, but for whatever reason I just couldn't stop laughing.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend to everyone.

Not as good as the first but anyone who was expecting it to be was setting themselves up for disappointment.

It seems rare that comedy sequels are worth a damn. They almost always fall far short of the original

I think that's likely because if a sequel to a comedy is feasible, the first was probably pretty damn good and I think truly funny movies are kind of rare. I haven't seen this, but will and will be disappointed because the original, to me, was and is so damn funny and I'm not one to think that kind of humor is all that amazing.

I'm terribly disappointed not only that you went, but that you told this anonymous crowd that you went. Baby jesus is crying right now.

The thing is, his comedy style is played out just like a lot of guys including Steve Martin and Mike Meyers. No doubt they were funny when they hit the scene, but the style just doesn't work all that well anymore.
When I first saw dumb and dumber, ace Ventura and cable guy, thought they were funny as hell. Now I can barely watch them.
Age probably has a lot to do with it as well.

I watched the first one last night and remembered how they just made them seem dumb, childish, and niave. In this movie, at least from the trailers, its like they are overacting so bad that they seem mentally challenged. Carey especially is acting like a cross between Ace Ventura and Warren from Something About Mary.
