I have a couple of Prairie Bombs in the fridge but I don't know if I want to play around with the 13 ABV or I'll be in bed by 8.

I've got some Alpine Pure Hoppiness that I plan on enjoying tonight. I was saving a cellar aged 2014 Founders Imperial Stout for tonight, but i caved and drank it about a week ago. We will be going to Welch Ave Station later on tonight, and they usually have some goodies on tap too

I'm thinking about visiting Scotland next year and it almost feels like a crime that I don't know anything about it or like it. I may need to try it again.

This stuff is pretty hard to come by. Goes well with gummy bears, so I've heard.

consider me uber-jealous! its been number 1 on my want list for about a year

Cellar 626 in Ames had a keg on tap, earlier this year. It was pretty awesome while it lasted, but it didn't last long.

I remember El Bait Shop had a keg one evening too and I had planned on driving down but last minute family obligations kept me from it

Buddy brought this back to Iowa when they were out East. Pretty good for a common beer out there.

I was in Omaha a few weeks ago & had an Up In Smoke at Lucky Bucket. It's one of their very limited releases so it won't be available long, but I thought it was amazing. They describe it as a smoked Chile porter, & as the name suggests Chile peppers are used in the brewing of it.

Does anyone know of any other more widely available beers that might be similar? Looking for something with a noticeable hot pepper taste/undertone.

I've seen the Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin at hyvee, but I'm hesitant to buy a $16 six pack that I might hate. (Still transitioning from cheap college beer to the finer things in life)
