Drinking anything special on NYE?

Boulevard Rye on Rye: 12%, wow this stuff is good. I am going to be hammered when this bottle is over.

I was in Omaha a few weeks ago & had an Up In Smoke at Lucky Bucket. It's one of their very limited releases so it won't be available long, but I thought it was amazing. They describe it as a smoked Chile porter, & as the name suggests Chile peppers are used in the brewing of it.

Does anyone know of any other more widely available beers that might be similar? Looking for something with a noticeable hot pepper taste/undertone.

I've seen the Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin at hyvee, but I'm hesitant to buy a $16 six pack that I might hate. (Still transitioning from cheap college beer to the finer things in life)

Yes, Ballast Point Indra Kunindra. It's limited and in bombers and they have it at the 86th hyvee. Love the stuff

Surly makes a couple of smoked chile brewed beers. Not sure if they're available year round though. They're different. I enjoyed them, but they were like instant heartburn. I couldn't drink more than about 1.

Halfway thru a Lil' Sumptin Sumptin right now. Cedar Ridge single malt later. Haven't had that before, looking forward to it.

I actually helped mash/sparge/runout a batch of single malt. Went home smelling like a fireman. Good day.

Honestly, got PBR tonight. Been sick the last week, taking it easy and not bothering with anything that requires a fully functional palate.

Wilson Creek Almond Champagne. Great if you like flavor and not just bubbles!

Just looking at this thread now. How did you get the bottle AND the glass to stay still long enough to take that photo?

My beer of choice as well. Just started the day with this.
