I think the Vikings did alright. My biggest complaint is that they could have probably traded down and got Harvin a bit later, but picking a guy about 6 spots too early is not the worst thing in the world. They hopefully addressed their right tackle problem with Loadholt, and potentially their center vacancy as well because they might be able to move Ryan Cook to that spot. The rest of their picks hopefully added good depth on defense.
Only time will tell though, as it all comes down to whether Harvin is a boom or a bust. I suspect he will be one or the other rather than just a middle of the road player. It's kind of like asking whether it was smart to bet on black before the roulette wheel has stopped.

Which is why I don't care about the two first round picks going to denver.

the only decent picks they got here are DJ Moore (as part of their Vanderbilt love fest) and Juaquin Iglesias. Iglesias has potential to replace Rasheid Davis as the #3 reciever. DJ Moore is solid overall.
Pissed that they traded the 2nd round pick when they could have gotten William Moore from Missouri. Also could have gotten Mohammed Massaquoi (whom I suppose they werent high on, so that is forgiveable) or Ramses Barden who would have been great with a tad of coaching with their first third rounder.
Sometimes less is more, especially when you draft a whole bunch of guys that wont be on the team longer'n 2 years.

...people dont like going offense with Orakpo available, but Moreno is a flat out stud. Ayers is solid too. They payed a high price to get Alphonso Smith but he will be a good 3rd corner and gets to learn from two of the best in Bly and Bailey. Quinn was picked pretty high, but the NE system that McDainels is bringing over really need blocking TE's which is something Quinn is very good at. McBath also adds key depth at saftey

If you're a Vikes fan I think it all comes down to how you feel about Harvin. I think he's an immediate impact type of player, and if he stays out of trouble, he'll be great. The rest of the picks were solid, imo. Nothing shocking, all areas that could use some depth.
