Fowler relocated back to Kentucky where he was employed in some capacity in the horse racing industry. Tragically, he died in 1988 at the age of only 31. I believe the cause was a heart attack.
When Johnny Orr first arrived in Ames, I saw him parking a big black Lincoln on Lincolnway near the ISU Bookstore. I was walking west on the north side of the street. When he got out of the car, I yelled "Go get em Johnny!" In typical Johnny Orr fashion, and with that raspy voice, he pumped his fist in the air and yelled, "Yeah Buddy!" He was one of a kind.Had the opportunity to meet Trickey, Nance, and Orr, only one I would feel comfortable having a beer with....Heeeeere's Johnny.![]()
Poison looks great! Hope they got their new floor. Here's an article from last year on Hercle trying to raise money for a new court for kids. He's got on an ISU hat in the video.
