Don’t over think it. Ejection is the first half = out for that game back for next. Ejection is in the second half = out for remainder of game and first half of the next.
Well that's what I thought I said, haha.

Still when they revise the rule, which I hope they do, maybe they realize ejecting a player for a non-malicious hit is too much. Or maybe they need varying degrees of penalty. If ejection is warranted, maybe levels of degree there too, ejection for a Qtr, Half, etc. Save most egregious penalty for what it is now.

I know, over thinking again.

It IS what you said, but you were starting to count halves and the time in the half of the ejection and whatever. When in the half the ejection happened doesn’t matter. They’re out for whatever the next half will be.

From what I’ve seen on their board that’s not a pay to play one, they don’t really have an opinion because they don’t know anything about us.
As a broad view, I'd say that the Cyclones are a team over the years that when I've watched them play I've always hoped they'd hold off and upset one of the ranked teams they were playing. Some times it happened, other times not. I've been aware of your CMC in part because of things involving our CMC. I'd like to believe that our guy would only leave to replace Saban and that he's not an NFL guy. I'd hope that your CMC is someone who'd only leave for the NFL like Chip Kelly did as we feel we've earned our place with where our program is and don't mind seeing other schools do it too. (Utah with Kyle Wittingham is a good example of that)

If you ask me who the last Cyclone in the NFL is I'd say Seneca Wallace. I do like that we're playing a new opponent so we can learn more about another program.

You called NIKE the benefactor. Sorry one of Oregon athletes was genius enough to make billions after his athletic career at the university of Oregon was done.

I personally do not understand how you could take that as an insult. Maybe some of you are a little sensitive on the topic? ISU would LOVE to have a donor or "benefactor" like that. Pickens at OkState transformed that program and they are seeing the benefits of it across all sports. We had to scrounge for 30 years to do a $35M South Endzone project. Things are better now (partly due to the B12 TV package), but it was tough sledding to get any kind of sizeable (over $5M) donations from about 1980 through 2010.

NFL players for us hit a dry spot but I would Look up Allen Lazard and David Montgomery.

If they can do Flagrant 1 and Flagrant 2 in MBB, they can do Targeting 1 and Targeting 2 in FB. Should be an obvious rule change.

It'd be pretty bad if you lost to us with our worst starting QB1 of this millennium. We're undefeated if we get even Jason Fife level performance.
We shred low-tier QBs defensively. General game flow for us centers around a quarter or so to figure some specifics out, followed by opponent offensive output steadily decreasing to near-zero late-game. Our few losses all trended with poor special teams play and/or sub-par offense, but almost never poor defense losing the game for us.

Your QBs will at least have a little familiarity with it being that you also run 3-3-5, but we tend to mix up the strats quite a bit through the game. We rotate a ton of DL talent through, have an All-Conference/NFL-caliber LB, decent DBs for the most part. We'll go around through drop-8, half/half coverages, full blitz, delays, spies if needed, the works. Our defense has been awesome this season at adjusting to offenses on the fly. We don't seem to tackle quite as well this year as previous, but that too has been acceptable for the most part.

Its why I'm ready for the "possibility" of what Anthony Brown could provide us because when you watch this game and the play-calling from our OC, there are going to be plays that you will clench up when you see how wide-open someone was and it will come down to how often our QB can hit that throw.

I tend to see your Offense getting off to a hot start before our defense locks up more, so for me, its about how consistently in the 2nd half our Offense can move the chains. We only got off to a hot-start against USC because of turnovers leading to a short field. I'd rather trade great field position from our ST all game long than poor field position all game with 1 return TD if I could choose.

90% of the time, when other teams fans bring up Nike/Phil Knight, it's to claim that we pay players to come to the school. Hence why some of us get testy about it.

I don’t think Oregon pays players. That money directly goes into convincing players to come to the school with dollars, but I don’t think it goes in their pockets, and it’s well within the rules. We can have a discussion of if the rules need to change, but as they stand currently, it is what it is.

What punishes us the most due to scheme is mobile and accurate QBs. If your QBs are statues, we'll eat. If they are mobile but can't throw on the run or see the open man when it's there, you'll have a hard time maintaining drives. We have a tendency to break down pockets fairly often, but when QBs can get out, spot the opening and hit it accurately, those are the guys we struggle with. If they don't move well enough or can't deliver a good ball in those scenarios, we sit pretty -- given enough time, someone will be open momentarily, but we generally do a good job shifting the defense towards the QB -- which tends to close openings with indecisive throwers as they run out of field to go to.

FWIW, we've beaten up pretty good on fresh/inexperienced QBs not named Rattler.

Again, since Pat White and Steve Slaton where there, what the F has WVU done to warrant comparison to us? All of their recent accomplishments are over a decade old.

For the very same reasons that I'd expect yall to not give AF about what happened in the last century is why we don't care that much. BTW, we're also tied for like 8th all time in NFL Hall of Famers and have one of the more extensive coaching trees in Football with people who have been through Eugene in their coaching career.

There are currently 6 teams that have won a CFP game and we're one of them. Incidentally, those 6 teams also finished in the top 6 in recruiting. While we've had only 1 Heisman winner, we've also sent plenty of others to the stage. In this century we also have one of the better winning percentages of all P5 teams.

We used to just be a Track School. Now we have one of the best Athletic Departments in the entire nation and Baseball is the only program I can think of that isn't any good/nationally ranked.
Calm down man yikes. Oregon and WVU are NOT comparable in the last decade to overall success. I think the original comparison was strictly this year's Oregon team v. WVU. We have no idea about Oregon because they just haven't played enough. I think that Oregon is better than WVU this year because of the athletes they have. They are just young and I expect a heck a game. Beating Oregon is absolutely a big deal for our program because we don't have much for bowl game wins, especially against quality programs.

Pretty sure we've all been super complimentary of the Ducks and their program.

I'm in the area of a low-scoring game favors us, a high-scoring game favors yall and that's about where Shough's play to date would lead me to believe is the most-likely scenario.

The plays have been there so if he starts the game and connects consistently on those kind of throws, it will be a large improvement for him (as well as our best chance at winning).
