Two weeks to adjust a dish is stupid. Forget or not. That isa direct tv problem.
but funny story, a sales guy from COX Communications knocked on my door offering a great deal on a cable package. Might be going back to them in a month or so when the 2 years is up.
They will probably buy you out of your contract

Go to Solid Signal and find the DirecTV dishes. They have documents that will show you how to adjust the dish. If you are getting some channels then it is already close so it should be easy to get it fully working. Like somebody else said, just have another person watch the meters to give you feedback. If you spend a little time you will probably get it peaked better than the person DirecTV sends out. If you have HD it is a little harder because the Ka band satellites have a smaller sweet spot but it still isn't that hard. Just don't fall off the roof and next time don't put it on the roof.
