Devlyn Cousin transferring

I was really liking the idea of some d line depth. This is a massive blow. Not sure who the NT would be if Tucker goes down

Wow. They were just talking about how much he had progressed from last year. Holy crap. And all the talk of team unity and change of culture. Only thing I can think of is the new doth chart was coming out on Monday and he was 3rd team? But I'd have to think he was in that 2nd unit as the NT in a 3-4.

My uneducated guess would have to be playing time. Tucker, Leath, Aka, Trent, Garcia, Ayeni, etc.

Maybe he wouldn't see much time in the 3-4? Seems like odd timing and I wish he would have stayed, but I don't see a big drop off from him to Leath/Aka/Trent.

Will not playing this year not take a year of eligibility? Otherwise why wouldn't he continue on the team this year.

It was always fun watching him fly around last year! Ben Bruns said it best that he fought through everything last year. I'm assuming with his arrest and being 3rd string this year is the reasoning he's leaving. Just stinks as we could use him this year and for the next 2! Least I don't get Butthurt anymore when I see these threads, use to it now.

The timing here is also leading people to believe he didn't just decide this on his own.

Also, I assume Baylor is actively recruiting him. A real "Art Briles" kind of player and individual.

You're better than that.

Whether it is his choice or not, why would he go all the way through two-a-days and then decide (or why would the coaches make him)? Weird. Such is life being an ISU fan.
