Cripes, this thing is still on? Didn't it start like at noon? That is some patience if you can watch anything for 6 hours.
You know what.. I take back all that bad stuff I said, I will try and watch one of these races with an open mind. Heck there is no other sports on until football, and nothing could be worse than the NBA. So I will be a big man and watch a race with an open mind. Which other ones are exciting?
The races at Bristal are always fun to watch because the track is so short and there are so many cars out there. I'm not sure when they go there though, it may be awhile until that race.
That's cool. Many people love to watch that one just for the wrecks. Which on that track there are usually plenty of. Sometimes you get some good fist fights too.
The start of a NASCAR race has the greatest "kick-off" sign on of all time. "Boogity, Boogity, Boogity! Let's go racin boys!"
With Junior crashing, Hillbilly wives better hide from their husbands tonight. Those guys are going to be in a brutal mood.
wtf, 3 laps to go and I turn it on, and they are parked? This is exciting? Just let them drive through the wreckage, let the guy with the biggest ones win.
brianhos, I invite you to come with me to a local dirt track race this summer. It will be my treat, I'll pay your way in and pay for you to eat. You can come into the pits, hang out at the hauler and watch what we do on the cars during the night. Its quite a bit different from NASCAR, but its still the same idea.
As for hillbillies, there are a bunch of them at these races. However, most fans are not, just an FYI. My old roomies called me a hillbilly just bc i watched it. Some of them went with to a local race a couple sumemrs ago and it kinda changed their tune. They ended up pissed off bc it rained, LOL.

Question - If they would have waved the yellow when the wreck happened Martin may have one, but they let it go since it was so close to the end so Harvick beet him back. This could cause some controversy.
Holy hell that was one helluva finish. How many cars wrecked going into turns 3-4? Harvick just STOLE that win away from Martin. WOW, just wow.
To me, it looked like Harvick never gave up the lead once he got it. Martin got within a couple inches, but I don't htink he ever took it back. Well, he had it for a split second before they went into turn 3, but not long enough really. That was one way to say how the 20 car finished "He placed 18th upside down on the inside of the track" :rofl8yi:
I'm a Junior fan, but was really pulling for Mark Martin during the last 2 laps, coming out of retirement and never having won it. How weird is it that the guy who replaces Dale Earnhardt wins the Daytona 500 exactly 6 years to the day that he died...that is weird...
