**** daylight savings

Give me DST all year. Staying on standard time, June sunrise in Chicago would be 4:15am. It would be getting light out before 4am. What good does that do for anyone???

I like having light later in the day, when it can be used.

This is CF. Read any thread on here (esp. the basketball ones lately). There are always gonna be posters who wish the sun never rises again and some who hope it never sets

They are further west in their time zone

The western fringes of the time zones would see real late sunrises during a part of winter if we don't set our clocks back in the fall. In the western part of the central time zones there would be a short period of time in the winter where sunrise wouldn't be until after 9 a.m.

We are so starved for sunlight in winter, but I'm not getting up at 4 in the ******* morning to see sunlight.

Lets jump ahead 2 hours and get sunrise at 6:15

Personally, I could not care less what time the sun rises. I know that doesn’t work for kids waiting for buses or walking to school, that’s a tough one. For me though, because of sleep habits, I’m up before dawn every day anyway. I’d much rather it not be pitch black when I get off work at 5. In mid December here in the Chicago area, it’s full on night at 4:30 pm. That just sucks the life out of me.

My feelings have little to do with the actual time change though. Other than changing the clocks that don’t do it automatically, the hour lost or gained is forgotten by the next morning.
