Cyclones to Top 10?

Who we don't play until the 31st which is 2 days after the rankings are released?

I feel pretty honored you used your first post to respond to me! Welcome!

But I meant we will be #11 this week then next week when we beat MVSU we will move into top 10.

I watched that Hawaii/WSU game. The only reason WSU won was because they shot more free throws. Lots of fouls called, and WSU got to the line more often. Otherwise, I don't think there was a single aspect of the game where I would say they were better than Hawaii. I don't think WSU should be ranked ahead of ISU, but then.....I don't have a vote.

I think we'll be #11 but after a big win against MVSU it should catapult us into top 10.

Not sure if wins over MVSU and S. Car. would be enough to move up over another team that didn't lose.

Then our first week of conference play is against Oklahoma State at home and West Virginia on the road. After losing by 25 last year in Morgantown, that game scares me. Also kind of interesting that the last conference game of the year in 13-14 is the first in 14-15, on the same floor, too.

Hopefully we can be Top 10 for the GameDay trip to Ames on 1/17.

S Carolina will be a decent win if we can get it. Won't be perceived that way, but Frank has his boys playing (hacking) hard. I'd bet they're a top 5 SEC team.

FIFY.

Admittedly I didn't watch the game, but I think this may be a more compelling reason, if it is the only reason, to win a game.

We are going to walk into Morgantown and Waco with a target on our backs, if we can get by Frank's physical zoo. Remember how we always get up for a game when a high ranked team comes to Hilton.

Wsu is a fraud. They are like isu in 2001 compared to 2000...getting respect for the previous season, but lacking a key player to be as good as they were the year prior. That said, Hawaii isnt a horrible team. They have Webster-chan, who we recruited.

I think we'll slide in at #10. I think Washington will be #9.
That only happens if GW beats WSU today. But I'll make a bold prediction: WSU will make a 20 point comeback with 1 minute to go, on a Ron Baker 4 point play to tie the game at the buzzer. WSU wins in OT as GW has everyone but their reserves fouled out.

Need more WSU losses for that trip to Omaha, paving the way to Indy!!

They've played one ranked team and lost that game. I'm not sure they have a path to a two seed now even if they are unbeaten. Their RPI will be nothing special after conference. KU is still the big competition for Omaha imho.
