Cyclones in the Summer League

Hate to be a buzz kill, but the Orlando White team is sort of the JV team to the Orlando Blue, so it's probably not all that surprising that Ejim is one of their best players. The Orlando league needed one more team to round out the numbers, which is where the White team came from.

That said, the White team is playing better than some of the non-Magic summer league teams, so there's that FWIW! :v_SPIN:

Was looking at the rosters and saw that Bryce Dejean-Jones was listed on the Pelican's summer league team. First time I have seen anything about him but maybe I didn't use the CF search tool very effectively.

Think it was mentioned in the tyrus mcgee bulls thread maybe. But ya not too noticeable.

Jones is a big time buy in the league for being undrafted. For that money, he should be on a roster to start the year.

Former Cyclone Jordan Railey on the Sixers bench playing behind Okafor.

"Jordan Railey, 7'0", Center: Less than a month after the Sixers worked him out prior to the draft, the Sixers invited Railey to join their Utah Summer League roster. Railey is already 23 years old, and he didn't exactly set the world on fire as a senior with Washington St. (6.6 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 1.0 BPG), but he's a big body and 7-footers are always in demand."

Ejim is playing really well, he seems "locked in" and focused with the Summer league. I think the year and Italy really shaped his game.

Someone mentioned Orlando had an A and B team and Ejim being on this white team meant he had no real chance at landing with them. If that's true it shows how much of a crapshoot the players are in these games in terms of talent since Ejim's "B" team has outscored opponents by 23 points just during his PT.

I can't pretend to have any idea on the overall talent level of these teams, but it doesn't seem like Orlando White has had much problems outscoring the first two squads they played.

Orlando White is made up of dleague guys and pros from overseas like Ejim. They are all vets essentially so it's no wonder they are blowing other squads out. I think orlando added ORW to have balance in the league at 8 teams while the ORB team is the typical summer league squad of picks and prospects.

I don't think Royce likes BB...he's just broke. I don't expect to ever see him in an NBA game again.

Too bad...too many bridges burned...too little effort.

I don't know for sure, but I think you are correct. His head isn't in the game clearly.

RDM didn't exactly have a fabulous game for the other Orlando team.

Tuttle played a lot of minutes for Heat and looked to have some good stats and quite a few fouls.

Appreciate the updates on these guys. Keep it coming. Not so much the snarky comments.

Not sure if it was already posted, but Diante Garrett will play for the Bulls in the Las Vegas Summer League, along with Tyrus, although we already knew about Tyrus getting a shot.

Saw that today as well. Among all the players on that summer league roster, I truly feel those two will get a chance to show what they got. They might not both make it, but I could definitely see one of them ending up on the regular season roster, in the last couple of spots.

Not watching but just looking at the box score and it looks like Royce has not played yet & it's late in the fourth. It hasn't gone as well for Royce as I was hoping, unfortunately.

He did not play at all. 13 minutes the first game, 8 minutes the second, and now 0 this game. Must be doing something to keep him off the floor, the other top 5 players look to be playing really well for the Clips though.

And he started the first 2 as well, so he had to have looked good enough in the practices & workouts to get him in there. He hasn't been playing well when he is in but when you're playing your first games in over a year you'll need some time to get going & that's hard to do in the limited time he's gotten. This situation seems kind of strange to me.

Dont want to read too much into it but the dnp is not a good sign when he could use as much run as possible. Hope ejim does well tomorrow and Kane next week. Will be fun to see tyrus shoot some bombs if he can.
