Cyclones in the pros 2023-2024 (hoops)

No fireworks for Georges or Talen last night - or their teams - though both ended up with respectable stats in their teams' losses.

Georges scored 8 on 3-6 / 1-3 shooting in 19 minutes. Cleveland had a poor 2nd half to lose to Portland.

Minnesota also pulled away from Utah last night. THT also played 19 MIN, and put up 7 PT on 3-7 / 1-3 shooting.

Tyrese, on the in-season tournament (If they're going to copy soccer, can't they call it something better like the "NBA Cup"?):

Tyrese Haliburton told ESPN it's the first time he's competing to win a championship on the NBA level and pointed to the fact that he's never made it to the playoffs, therefore, the tournament "gives me the chance to be able to do that, and that's exciting for me."

Haliburton played his part in the Pacers' undefeated group stage record -- he averaged 28.5 points and 13.5 assists per game, including a 37-point, 16-assist performance in a 157-152 win against the Atlanta Hawks.

12 PT off the bench for Georges last night in a win over the still Monte-less Pistons. His line:

Tyrese Haliburton did not play in the Pacers' win last night.

Wigginton got a bench appearance for the Bucks last night but no minutes.

I would think Tyrese will be playing tonight unless that injury is more serious than we'd all imagined -- the Pacers vs. Celtics tonight in a tournament game:

The only trophy he's ever won is the Big 12 tourney one, I believe.
