Forget Bitcoin!

Think BIGGER!

gene.jpg

Iowa State has always been an innovator...the computer, the fax, the A-bomb...this time we were just too far ahead of the market!

So....on 2/1/18 we start trading the the next big thing in digital currency...Chizcoin!

Trading will start with one 'Chiz' = $1,000,000 the amount Iowa State paid Chizik his first year.

Best of all, unlike those other 'fake' online currencies you can exchange digital Chizcoin for an actual Chizcoin.

No more 'pie in the sky bull ****'...you get something backed with REAL value!

.Chiz will be the trading symbol

PS...anyone want to sell me their Chizik Coin? I'm paying $20 each for them right now. ; )

Hey guys, I will start trying to give some updates on my holdings and interests.

Current coins I have invested in:

The big 3 - BTC, ETH and LTC - These are great positions to have as they are the name brands of the crypto verse. As more and more new investors hop into the market these will continue to rise because these are the most covered by the news. Think gold, silver and bronze.

Tezos - This is my biggest holding. The genesis block should go live in February and a couple of well respected crypto investors are expecting a initial market cap of 10 bil, which would put the coin north of $8 at debut. This has the potential to beat Cardano and possibly ETH within the year.
- WhalePanda is a good follow on twitter

Bitcoin Cash - I only have this holding because of the fork, I'm thinking about selling this position here soon as the lighting network has entered the test phase. This should significantly increase transaction time on the BTC blockchain and start to stomp out these forks.

Golem - This was an early investment that I got in at less then $.01 currently trading at $1.15. This coin has a lot of potential as it allows people to rent out their processing power while there computer is Idle. Why not have your computer make money for you when your at work?

Polybius - This was the first ICO I got in on. The idea behind it is a crypto currency bank and if you own a coin you get paid dividends like a shareholder. This is going to be a long term hold, as the bank gets setup it could be one of the first that truly embraces cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies. I have what I refer to as a curiosity stake in this.

Giga Watt - Scalable mining company, your token counts as 1 watt of power that you can use with their mining equipment or rent out you token. I use this to get a steady return of bitcoin as mining is largely necessary. This could dip as more chains switch to Proof of Stake over Proof of work.

Digibyte - One the most interesting holdings I have. Currently trading at .07 and is worth getting in on in my opinion. This blockchain is one of the fastest in transaction speed that exists. I could see this blockchain being used in micro transactions be that games, credit cards or something like penny stocks. Think a low end ripple but actually decentralized. Lots of upside on this coin.

Refereum - This is the latest ICO I have put money into. The idea behind this coin is to remove the middle man between video games and developers. The video game market last year spent close to $120 Billion and around 30% of that was on marketing. This mini market will allow developers to release their games at much lower fee structure, pay people who play or watch their games and receive better feedback in the process. The devolpers already have a close relationship with Twitch and a working market for games. Esports is the future, I see a high upside on this coin.

Coins I'm looking to get into

Monero - Privacy is key, with multi-signature coming expect this coin to blow up.
Ark - They want to help blockchains talk to each other, which is key with the developing market.
Siacoin - Allows one to rent out storage space on hard drives. Great dev team, lots of use.

Where would one buy Tezos?

I have Aion, SNM, ICX, and ARN currently. Put around $900 in about a month that ago and my portfolio is around 1750$ right now. Easy money.

My portfolio was doing great until the market corrected it selfs on Monday. I was up about 80% of my initial investment now i'm only up like 60%.

I'm starting to think bitcoin isn't going to reach 20k anytime soon.

The US firm said it was teaming up with London-based Wenn Media Group to carry out the initial coin offering (ICO).

It is part of a blockchain-based initiative to help photographers control their image rights.

Kodak also detailed plans to install rows of Bitcoin mining rigs at its headquarters in Rochester, New York.

Details of this second scheme - which is being branded the Kodak KashMiner - were outlined at the CES tech show in Las Vegas.

Customers will pay up-front to rent mining capacity.

Kodak is the latest in a series of companies to see its value jump after revealing plans for blockchain-related activity.

"This is a phenomenon we saw back during the dot com days in the late 1990s where traditional companies would mention some kind of internet strategy and their stock price would jump up," commented Garrick Hileman from the University of Cambridge.

"When you see stock prices moving like this it does appear to be troubling - it's hard to say if there's a bubble but it certainly is indicative of a frothy investment market."

You know it's a short term bubble right now because all kinds of companies are just putting the words Blockchain and seeing stock jumps. In an ironic twist Eastman Kodak is up from $3 / share to $10 / share because they too want to create a cryptocurrency. I'd like all the Efficient Market proponents to explain this away. Lol.

This has been happening for a while now. It definitely pays to do some research on the product. There have been a few alt coins that were scams from the beginning.

OK, I've been reading up on some of this and understand it a little better now. I don't think BTC can remain king due to the ASIC farms. Very few people can control what it does and it is the exact opposite of decentralized. Ethereum should last, ASIC resistant, but who knows once it goes POS. The small coins are a gamble, but I would stick with the ASIC resistant ones.

I'm also betting on a lot of exchanges folding too.

Do you feel the 3rd generation blockchains are the best investment?

They have the most chance for a higher profit but also a higher percentage of folding. Some of those coins jump in value considerably but only seem to be traded on Cryptopia or some other exchange that has been iffy.
