2026 crop year

Thursday saw an Amish man and wife making square bales pulled by a team of two horses. Second cutting. Man I’d hate to be standing on a small wagon holding the reins. Both were standing.

Pardon my interruption.
Don't know jack about farming.
Have got caught up in "Laura Farms," YouTube.
Strikes me as a marketing genius.
Seems like everybody from Runza- Deere is in some way ponying up $'s-beyond.
Again, "don't know jack about farming."
Curious to hear what farmers here have to say.
Young and cute earns the money.

My favorite farming youtubers are the Hilbert's, Grant and Spencer. Unconventional way into farming starting from scratch. Very straightforward, open about ideas and finances, with no click bait or exaggerated drama.

Also mostly not a farming channel but Junkyard Digs farming videos are highly amusing.

Oh yeah and part time farmers! I’d love to have a couple pops with them

I noticed a lot of corn "pointing" around me, so should see a lot of tassels soon.
Tassels were starting to come for me on the 4th(April 15 planted 108 day), as well as beans podding. Neighbor must have a shorter season corn as his are really out today despite planting a couple days later
