Paul is awesome. He was all in for Iowa State, and that's who I wanted to be a winner here. We will get a new head coach, and I hope he wins in ways Paul couldn't, but I doubt anyone we hire will be as loyal and passionate about Iowa State, and that part sucks. A lot.
That Peterson article was actually really good tonight.
I don't know if we'll ever get someone like him here. I'll go on record saying he was more passionate in public about ISU than Hoiberg was, and that's saying something.

No he didn't. Sarcasm that predicts the future. It's gonna be deja vu all over again.
Nobody wanted CPR to fail. There is no doubt he is a good man and has his priorities straight. However, there are good men with priorities straight everywhere that get fired for poor performance. In a business all about $ and the product on the field, there were really no other options. I am 100% a Rhoads supporter and love how he treated his players and represented this University and community. He is truly second to none in that regard. I hope our next coach has twice or more the success and at least half the "other" qualities Paul possessed.
Pretty sure it's NCAA rule that only the athlete can have his trip paid for by the school. Family members are on their own.
If I had to guess, I would assume Paul's post-ISU career will be similar to McCarney's. I think he'll get a coordinator job at a power 5 school for a few years, before getting a head coaching gig at a MAC level school. I wish him nothing but the best
Just got an email back from Paul. Didn't expect one. I will be cheering for this guy wherever he goes.
