Good for him. Still think he is one of those guys that is way better at Xs and Os than leading a whole team. Good guy, just was not a head coach.

His failure on the recruiting trail was probably most of his demise, but the end of that KSU game sure put the final nail in the coffin.

I actually think it was his failure on the field in spite of actually having better recruits.

Did Rhoads ever have a set of coaches that was as in sync as our current staff? I don't think so. He kept trying to bring in "aces," but I'm not sure the overall coaching team ever gelled well. Tough to accomplish the way coaches move around. We probably don't fully appreciate what we have right now, merely in terms of cohesiveness as a staff.

I don't think it was anything like now, but I do think the defensive staff was pretty in-sync and stable. I think the Burnhams were pretty good. Curtis Bray had been around for a long time.

It would be interesting to know how things would have went if Herman has stuck around. I don’t remember much shake up defensively, but offensively the coordinator was a revolving door.

Congratulations to Paul. I'm sure he'll have a lot of fun there and get paid very well while he's doing it. Lots of great country to ride a motorcycle around in, etc.

what exactly happened in that game. i remember watching and having the WTF just happened moment but don't recall the specifics. was it - kneel it and win, but we inexplicably ran the ball, fumbled and ksu had just enough time to score, take the lead and win?

We fumbled twice two straight drives.
