If Nevada retains their coach, and doesn't have some guys leaving to go pro, this is a team I'll be looking at to do some damage in the tourney next year.

I was very nervous about this game the entire day today. I really was shocked that the reg season champ and tourney champ of the MW conference only got a 12 seed. Your team would have been easy to root for had you not played us 1st round. Good luck in the future!

I think you'd have won a game or two at some other reasonable spots in the bracket. I definitely felt like your talent level was similar to a good Big 12 team. ISU has as deep a backcourt as I can remember which I imagine was a changeup for Nevada to face, there can't be a lot of players like Jackson off our bench in non P5/Big East conferences. There were times you pressed the advantage inside that had us all pretty scared but just couldn't sustain it, probably in part because of high minutes played.
Illinois should be a blue blood but they can't even be a consistent NCAA team.
Any word on how Hallice Cooke has looked in practice for you guys?
I always take it with a grain of salt but yeah supposedly Cooke, the Martin twins, and Stephens often beat our starters in scrimmages.

If it helps, we've had that season, and it turned out to be true.
Our first return to the tournament featured an almost all-transfer team, and we spent the previous season hearing how amazing they were looking. Turned out (eventually) to be spot on.
Iowa State just beat your starters too
Because you are the better team, no way around it. I hope you fellas make a run to the final four. Always love this style of ball over the Virgina's of the world. Go kick Purdue's ass...then take Kanas down again. Hell you should already be 2-0 vs the Jayhawks.
