On one hand, very polite of CMC to wait until the end of the season to consider another job. On the other hand, it really put us behind the eight ball in regards to finding a replacement. CMC's "no regular season" policy is one that sounds great in practice, but put JP in a tough spot.

But it wasn't an opportunity for him during the regular season...right? They were chasing others earlier in the week so he didn't wait!

I think the style and culture Campbell created is important to the success of ISU in the last 10 years. IMO, hiring someone from within, or someone with ties to the Campbell program would be the easiest route forward. I know nothing about Scheelaase except he coaches for the Rams and spent time with Campbell. He may use ISU as a launch pad, but there's an opportunity to cultivate some more young coaching talent.
